Got a bit of tube from @Onoff the other week
Bit of welding.. bit of boring for the bearings. And a bit of silver steel later..

Not got a dividing head, so next best thing.
Will spin it with a battery drill

Have I said how much I dislike en3b mild steel, or atleast this length. I mistakenly thought I'd use some up. Thats two points gone in a couple days

Instead used some en16m, which has sulphur, unsure if it would weld ok. Mixed results! The pivot arm on left was a pain, initially lots of voids.

The holes I initially drilled were way off so quite pleased the bush welded ok and alignment good enough.

A follow up from my lorry build. The rear beam and uprights are complete. Made a start on the tailboard. 5 shoots on this instead of the usual 3. I am not happy with the original tailboard locking bar so will design my own. That's about as far as its got.

I made a little roof for the new VFD as I suspect it was moisture dripping from the roof that killed the other one. I have fixed the moisture issue but I am not taking any chances until I can get enclosures for all three VFD's
and no, I have not wired it in yet, give me a chance

Old screwdriver with broken off end, a nut & bolt and bit of square tube.

replaced the tube part of a freelanders rear subframe ,, not exciting , and repaired the rear door lock on an original v8 snatch lr ,,,
Ill take some pics next time Im at it for anyone whos interested .

Tongs in a useable state. There will be changes but may aswell try them first.

Chopped a few peices for a tool holder. Im not going to use these angle bits I cut some others. This one Im planning to arc weld instead of tig.

Today I made a small centre punch for marking soft[er] materials, or I suppose it could be used as a scribe although I already have one of those.

Started with my new toy and although it's far from perfect, at least the handle won't slip.....
