So today's job is lose 150 euros while performing an SDS max hammer drill repair.
100 euros in parts (paid from the customer)
50 euros for my work .
Made a miserable mistake while assembling it
Destroying ball bearings ,their seats, gears, armature and motor housing.
It was going everything alright , but I've eard the characteristic sounds of broken metal , discovered the mistake .
Not what I was thinking and called the customer informing him that he will get his money and the hammer back, because it's not cost effective to repair.

I've destroyed it in a split second without even be aware of what was happening.

Made my aux lights on the Africa Twin work as I wanted them to.
Daytime they will be at 100%
Night time when on dip they will be at 10% brightness and when on main beam they will be 100%

That is all controlled via the Hex ezCAN which I got fitted today.

Stripped off the plastics and tank.

Lengthened the aux light wires, plugged in the ezCAN to the IMU and ran all the wires to where I wanted.

Then wired the lights to the ezCAN and found a nice spot for it and fixed it down with the supplied velcro.

I lashed up a fixture to drill a ring of angled, convergent holes.


Worked a treat, I cut the disc out a month ago but couldn't figure out how to drill the holes until now. I'll reveal what it's for once I've machined the rest of it.

Are the holes all the same diameter?

Got the last bit of the right peg set up and milled.

Put it on the AFRICA Twin to see if it fitted and it did

It feels good but I will give it a bit more testing and if I still like it I will order up some 2" bar and make a couple of one piece ones up.

Been making chips with the TW mill, for the TW mill. The switch was thanks to @Pete.

Now stops at both ends of table travel (which isn't a lot, but then it doesn't need to be for what I need).

Some pigeon poo. The 75mm tube at the back, stuck onto some 2mm plate, which I will pour alu into, to cast lathe food bars.

Drilled 5 x 16mm holes in the welding bench top, so I can now use my small clamps.

It took six days to build, a metal 6' x 8' shed. It is a Yardmaster. The panels are meant to screw together with self tappers. We all know the problem with self tappers in wafer thin steel, that extra turn and it's ********. Instead I opted for pop rivets. I've used 500 so far and still need a few more. Pneumatic pop rivet guns are troublesome buggers, I couldn't justify a Lobster brand so bought a £40 eBay special. It came with no oil and the stroke adjustment out by 10mm.
Inside, two of Lidl's finest plastic shelf units, rated at 50kg evenly per shelf, 3 year guarantee.
Now that the shed is bolted down and I have added extra rivets, the whole thing is surprisingly rigid.
It is square, just a touch of parallax.

I have made some alterations to the foot peg, well in the 3D model anyway, not done the real thing yet

I wasn't happy with the blocky nature of the bike side.

So I have done some alterations to make it, in my eyes, look better, I am sure some will have other ideas
I also slimmed down the bottom so it is not so wide.
