Yes seen that good video, Weldingtipsandtricks has another good one for a chipping hammer.
I guess the closest industiral application is hss edged saw blades but I havent looked up how they do it.

Would be a good way to make up an odd sized slugger drill. Put a hss edge on tube, turn it true, grind the edges. How much does a 70mm mag drill bit cost? You could make one for about a fiver in material.

Made another pair for another boat.
The brake works well but I think maybe some sort of side shims for close bends would be better, will experiment sometime and see.

Well after spending most of the day trying to sort out my welder after it decided to have a period I did manage to get most of it done. Not massively happy with it but it's for a lorry so will probably get beat to death after a while.

I made my first swarf on the Raglan 5"
I changed the wiring from Star to Delta so it would run with my new AT1 inverter then put it all back together and setup the variable speed pulleys. Quite pleased with the result. Not worth a thread on its own so thought I would share some pics in this one.

And number 2. Although this one needs turned into a box shape to create a housing for the belt/pulleys.
Which wouldn't be so bad, but some numpty forgot to order a length of suitable flat bar

And to complete the set, four attempts later, I finally managed to machine all the holes in the correct place-

First attempt, the 4 holes were on the wrong PCD. I have no idea where the PCD even came from, as it wasn't even a valid dimension on the servo drawing.
Second attempt had the same wrong PCD, as despite moving the existing holes in Fusion360, and re-post processing, F360 still used the original now non-existent holes.
Third attempt, although I managed to get the right PCD, they were offset from the centre of everything else. I know how I managed that, but it'll take too long to explain for those not familiar with F360.

On the plus side, I can now get the vice back on the little CNC mill, and get it making some money, while I now ponder over the required pneumatics to get the big CNC mills drawbar functioning.

Finished grinding the chamfer cutter, the bigger one took a few attempts and not perfect. Needs a lot of downward pressure to get a good chip. I guess the small one is removing a lot less metal. I thought it was a bit unsafe so made up a sleeve to keep fingers out.

No I didn't drill the barrel through or put a firing pin in

Made up two different sizes of throttle spacers which hopefully will fit the 2018-2019 Africa Twins. Bit of a pain not having one on hand to try out so I will have to send off to a guy in Englandshire to see if they fit and if so whick thickness is best. White ones have a 0.7mm shim thickness, other ones have 1.2mm. Peg dia on both are 2.7mm

This has been on the go here and there for a month or so...just finished it off and put the led strip back-lights round this afternoon.

Will pre drill the wall this week, ready to hang and plug in on Christmas day.
