Made a bobbin for the sky lift. If you want to swap from all bike lift to front only

I have not used a Sky Lift, but have heard of them,
I know the basic principal of how it works,
My concerns are the front only lift,
I thought that was a big no, no,
Because the steering will move and the bike will tilt over, though I am obviously wrong with this type of lift system

That's a 100 amp Hypertherm, but an old one, not sure what model but it's huge. Not sure on settings etc, as it all integrates into the Messer controls.
Like I say, it could have been related to the coolant pump issue, but at that point it was at least cutting clean. Some edges were fine and other edges of the same part were just awful.
Or maybe the nozzle was already fried at that point, I suppose I don't know enough. It definitely used to do much better work.

The lift connects via the swing arm bolt so it is held securely no matter whether you lift the whole bike, the back only or the front only, see pics.

To me it looks like the actual cut quality is decent enough so I would say plenty current.
The one that hasn't cut properly could be lack of current or possibly too fast a travel for current/material thickness. The others look like they may be slightly too slow due to the dross on the bottom but that would knock off easily.
Regarding the bevel, that could be many factors. Plate not level on the bed, torch not true to bed, consumables worn, torch height wrong or even air pressure not correct.
If the bevel is the same on opposite edges and in the same direction then I would check torch alignment or that plate is level on the bed but first thing is to check the consumables are in good condition.

SGS is Seagear Supplies who will be selling them. This is a tester. Font needs sharpening but other than that it’s spot on mm wise which is the important bit

Yup. I copied some Chinese ones

that’s who he gets them off but 1 they let him down and 2 the boys won’t buy Chinese. (Some argument over crab I think)

So I do them as it fills the nests. He gets them pretty much ex table with a bit of time in the tumbler so I can do them at the right price. To be honest they make me pence but it’s still more than scrapping the skeleton

Aye, I don't do many of these types, most prefer separate for Velvet, Brown and Lobster.
I am not even sure if I have posted any pics of the ones I have made, it must have been 3 or so years ago I made the last one. Only have the 3D model of the one I did, milled them out of 1.5mm stainless as the guys want them spot on the 87mm for the Lobster, the crab bits not so worried about but as I do them on the mill they are spot on anyway.

Hes a special stunt lobster that I got off the snap on truck. For calibrating lobster scales.

Found a good solution to my rotten plywood shed, gave it a coat of barn paint then stapled on very thin Poundland weed control fabric, then another coat over the top.
