You sure you knew it worked well with oak![]()
That'll be why you told us twiceYup! Green oak shavings have always turned my tools and bed of the lathe black; only found out by accident that it happened to work on the aspen too when I got a drop on a partially turned bowl.

that was after 4 hours in a belle mixer with granite chips.
My handle & trigger arrangement is quite different to the one you show so is the moveable & fixed jawWhat would be the cost of 3d printing a handle please? I normally use a bolt for the pivot as it's more easily replaced if I need to. Easiest ones to fix are these. View attachment 297988
Would it be easier & cheaper to get them CNC water jet cut by the sheet & add a few pence for profit ?Next batch of 100 blanks. Mainly posting this for wider info, should anyone else go down this road

that was after 4 hours in a belle mixer with granite chips. The HAZ round the edges and in the holes has gone. Just a bit of dross on the back remaining which a quick flap disc will sort.
Would like to demo a vibrating tumbler with a view to buy as this job has now gone from 4000 to 8000 pieces
Possibly. I need to find a laser / water jetter who is happy to ship here. Be interested to know if it’ll work out any cheaper. I would like to think so.Would it be easier & cheaper to get them CNC water jet cut by the sheet & add a few pence for profit ?
It was at this point @Feet 'n Inches realised they'd summoned beehexabub the six sided devil....Finished an occasional table foe sale by my local men's shed. All the steel barring the "carpet-friendly" feet is reclaimed from old balustrading and scrollwork that was donated/acquired.
