Today I made a puller to get the spider off the clutch housing on my Alfa so I could replace the clutch shaft bearings.
Simple job, turned a point on a M20 bolt and welded a nut to a bit of scrap steel.
Worked a treat.
Alfa certainly liked to do things differently in the 70s and 80s, but at least they used standard bearings so they are cheap to replace .

It's hard to get good ghost help these days. They seem to lack spirit, and they're always moaning about something or sneaking away through the wall to visit their mates in the cemetery across the road when my back is turned. And there's all that ectoplasm that they leave lying around...I get tired of cleaning up after them.Get the ghost to help - at that build age there absolutely must be a deceased resident - or you could just invent one.....

you forgot that damn Poltergeist always moving stuff that you cant seem to find when you need it and when you dont need it it shows up again or you trip over the damn thing
I could swear it has a wierd scense of humour or its after me its one or the other
never mind the screaming and moaning ghost always a high pitch squeal always moaning and groaning it has its good points as you know where it is and what its doing but I wish sometimes it wouldnt do it out of the blue when you least expect it as it does make you jump when its does it right at the side of you.
the worst one of all is the banging ghost when its all quiet its happy but when its banging around you know theres trouble coming or happening
the smelly one is trully awful dosnt show up often but when it does its wretching stinks like hell, no matter how much airing you do the smell still lingers away in the room
you see these are the ghosts of the machinist shop always there and always around

Played with a Kubota 15-3 mini excavator this morning .
First time using it , after little bit of shaking , forgetting that lever are reversed when your blade is backwards etc .
I've taken little bit of confidence and started to control multiple functions togheter .
Not bad for less than 30 minutes practicing

She already had the lampshade I just modified it to fit a different lamp, however I may have mentioned I could make one the same so now I've a larger one to make from scratch.

Just finished fitting this to a friends wall.
The sparky who re routed the cable left the cable in the right place. Just above a wall nogging. So I had a chance to get a decent fixing in.

Made a blank for a 20 tooth spur gear for my mill (16 tooth on right) - I made the bore a smidge too big so I’ll see how it feels when I get it finished and slid onto shaft completely - if it’s a bit too wibbly wobbly I’ll treat it as a practice, especially considering if I manage to get the teeth made ok it’ll be the first gear I’ve made in about quarter of a century

Plasma is wonderful, I came down at 6pm this evening and cut out some jigsaw pieces.
I then stuck them together. A bit out of practice with the Tig but was getting the hang of it by the end.
Now decision time, do I grind it down and get it powder coated or just leave it, knowing me it will be the latter especially as the guy I used to go to has been a bit poor on the coating lately.
