How bloody much?!?![]()
Well, I did tell you....
We also played Wars using air guns wearing thick jackets and metal eye shields with thin cross slots to see thro. minimum range allowed was 50 yards.
Bringing back memories, this.

We were never allowed guns, so the D-i-Y version consisted of going to the rocky shore where we drew lots to see who would be the 'target', who then went to hide behind a large boulder. The rest of us retired to a set distance where we lined up across the seashore.
Said 'target' then had to attempt to escape to a designated 'safe zone' at either side of the shore while the rest of us hurled stones [or anything, really....
] at him. Taught you to be quick on your feet and good at picking out which boulder/large stone was safe to move to next....not to mention watching out for 'in-comings'
  All good clean, harmless fun
 [and we criticise the youngsters of today
]
