Started something that might be considered a bit 'arty' so if such it'll be first foray into it!

Some 3mm rod left, over from an old second year project we once did, and next stage will be to shape and tack on a patchwork of scraps of 1mm sheet from projects kids never took home.

Once finished I'll give it to my school and tell the Rector that the heart signifies my love of the job, the school at which I teach and the pupils we educate...

Can't like that I'm afraid. Never wear gloves around rotating machinery, rather have cold fingers than no fingers.

We got the bolts set for our next shed a couple of weeks ago, hopefully steel going up soon.

How big a shed are you putting up? Did you have to pile under the foundations?

major over engineering has/is being carried out due to the size of free matters. its 3mx5m.

the concrete isnt just sitting on the dirt there is holes there.

I made a low ceiling go away and insulated and boarded the ceiling above, might as well do it while the shop is closed during lock down.

Looking at the size of your pads I was thinking it was a huge great shed. Which may have needed piling.

My contribution. First time outside, put on the trailer this morning and shuffles about ready for the trip to fit engines tomorrow.

Looks rather small behind the small truck. The boat is not really ready for engines, but, the engine guys said that it is getting close to Christamss and they are busy, so they want the boat they get the boat. The bow roller and the davit support is still to be done, but they were decided on friday, so they will be put on when the boat returns. There is still the wiring for the nav lights to be done and much dressing of welds, so it looks pretty. Upon return it will get wrapped with reflective orange film, wiring completed, test run and hopfully no problems handed over. I will then have a few days off

Looks like I will be getting myself a glow plug removal kit if I can't borrow one from someone!

Looking at the size of your pads I was thinking it was a huge great shed. Which may have needed piling.

Thought the same, the bases on some of ours aren't hugely bigger.

You don't need a removal kit for that, as the hardest bit is already out.
First thing I'd try, is fit the other plugs, wedge a rag over the broken plug, start the engine and let it warm up. Try giving it a rev as well, as it might be enough to blast it out. The rag is to contain the projectile, as it may come out like a bullet, so make sure nobody is stood anywhere near the potential path of the broken bit.
If that doesn't work, you just need to start drilling. Usually once you get so far down, the drill bit will grab the glow plug and it'll start spinning. At which point it'll either just pull out with the drill, or it'll blast out if you start the engine.

Yep same, but would screw a self taper or long bolt in so can get some pliers or grips on to pull it out as the engine is warming also.
