Were actually upto 31.24mm currently. Sunday night I was in wheat, finished a field about 10.30 and had a 2 mile move to next field, halfway there the heavens opened. Yesterday morning was light drizzle at main farm, heavy rain at one of the other farms where the combine was, drizzle eased off about lunch time so moved the combine and had 4 small barley fields I could cut, got done about 10 last night but had no where fit to go too.

I did some smithing last night and brought out the anvil too. I would say what I have been told by others is correct, the pit is too deep, or the air intake is too far down, or both. I think it would be OK if I had the same overall depth but the intake was higher. But that would probably be wasteful. I am gonna reshape the bowl to move the intake higher up and make it shallower. I think I have designed this forge a bit too much like a charcoal forge rather than a coke forge. A charcoal forge wants a deeper firepit as I understand it.
Once it's up and going coke has no smoke at all, so I think this coke is neighbor friendly. Anvil doesn't ring much either anymore though I think it can be improved.

I was thinning out the other side and was intending to draw it out and fold it back over itself to make a handle and hook to hang it from, but it suddenly went from sunny to a downpour. I had to put the fire out (removed the air source, closed the lid and put the chimney roof back on) and get the anvil back indoors and wipe it down and oil it.
I need a proper smithing hammer, the one I use is a 4.3 lbs one-handed sledge hammer, not really ideal. I found a smaller ball peen hammer that felt like it was a bit heavier than an ordinary 16oz hammer and I used this towards the end. Felt it was too light, but easier to work with. I think I want something in the 1 - 1.5kg (2 - 3 lbs) range.
I also broke up and remolded the firepot to makeit shallower and move the tuyere higher up. Felt the sweet spot wasn't getting high enough. I might also have too much pressure on my air flow from the hair dryer. Lower pressure and more volume might be better.

I got shelving from Lidl knowing it was too big. I think I will bolt it together but mig is tempting, not used in ages.
10 peices cut in half, with 140mm of folds removed, 1mm thick steel, 0.8mm disc on one battery. Happy with the grinder for this sort of job.
Problem will be cutting the wood. It needs to be exact fit as there is only 10mm step it sits on.

I've just worked out that you're the drone operator - I'd assumed it was a promotional film by New Holland - such perfect filming!
Anyway, all this drone stuff has spawnwed a question....
There's some separate footage called "mavic 2 zoom active track", where the drone seems to be able to follow you & retain good focus at the same time.
At a later part in the footage, (at around 3m 22s) - you make some adjustment to the controls, and it then seems to follow you through the gate.
Is it able to avoid things like branches that are in the way, (possibly just if they're obstructing it's "line of sight", between it & the subject of the footage?) or are you just casually controlling it as you go - and making it look very easy?
One more thing, (as Columbo would say!) when you had to deal with the gate, is there something you can do at the controls that just makes it stay where it is, until you have your hands & eyes free, and are ready to get back on the controls?
Ok, two questions!

I didn't actually film that one, I was driving the combine.
I do have a drone though. Mine is a different model to the one that filmed that but has basically the same features, it has the ability to track an object, you basically fly the drone until its looking at the object you want, then select the follow me flight mode, highlight what you want it to follow, from then on it'll follow the object, if you want it to stop following the object just switch off follow me mode and it'll hover at the same spot and height until you either re activate follow me or manually use the controls.
As for avoiding obstacles, mine doesn't have that ability, the next model up from mine does have collision avoidance which is basically cameras all round the drone that can detect stuff and avoids it.

Shes good as gold, helped by the prat that cocked up her main roof. Had 2 qoutes far less than me well we know why now.
Ive got to create a flitch beam within the house now ill do it when i build her extension.

10.5m header on that one, there's a few 12m about here now as well.
I would say a good percentage of the new combines and bigger tractors have GPS steering.
We have 4 systems, with varying levels of accuracy, 1 system is about 15-20cm accuracy that's on a free signal, 2 systems about 5cm accuracy they need an annual subscription, final system we have is 2cm accuracy and repeatable that is more expensive to buy at first and also has an annual sub.

Hi, fraserb - thanks for the detailed reply.
I'd often wondered how much control they have, and have also noticed how stable the footage seems to be.
I'm guesssing the cameras have built in image-stabilising, nowadays.
My only drone "operation" stint lasted only seconds - it was a (particularly crap) toy that was bought for "Kid Joe" over ten years back.
It really was like something out of the "Lucky Bag"
And from somewhere very near the bottom!
I managed to get it all the way from the front room floor to the ceiling (maybe 2.5m) within about a second, before it plumetted.
I had about three attempts, before giving up - but before long it was broken - but the kid did get to try it out too - just!
It was obviously not anything like the item you're using there - and I'd be surprised if it cost a fiver - including batteries!
The combine driving looks pretty damned good too, as @slim_boy_fat said above.
Now I've got a load more YouTube videos to watch - so thanks!
But anyway, getting a bit of a "hypo" right now, so first - it's time to eat!
