Already built one similar previously & its solid

Used 3" screws + I put the heavy stuff at the bottom so it's not top heavy

made some spacers 3/8" bore x 3/4 o/d (the rusty one at the top is the one I was given to copy)

for the brakes on a three wheeled truck being renovated by the local industrial museum (guess it will look something like this Wrigley truck)

then we started talking about welding gas an he had run out ......no problem, you want a half full cylinder of rent free CO2 and the supplier is less than a mile from where you live? so I went back home and 40 minutes later came back with this.

think that will do well for welding some bars to its chassis.......

I knew that when I changed to using argoishield light, someone would eventually want it as a freebie.

needs two, diagonally opposed. Stop it folding and the boards twisting in the middle

Been given these utensil racks off my sister few years ago ,thought they’d come in handy even if I didn’t use them lol,so one day I did,perfect ,and they don’t collect as much grinding dust as they do laying on the bench.

I had a 10mm plate laser cut for a baffle plate for my log burner. The plan was to use a mates hydraulic brake press until he pointed out he could only bend 6mm.

So I finally got to use the mill I have had for 3 years to cut some relief slots in to help with the bend. Only got a chuck that fitted yesterday so had no excuses.

Not used a mill in 30 years so was a bit slow setting up and only took a 0.5mm deep cut so took a while.

Very high tech.
I did something similar but bent it my self.
I used an angle grinder to part cut through the stainless then made up a sort of press brake out of angle and plate to fit in my 50t press and it worked OK.
Had to weld up the part cut afterwards.

Bored a deep-ish hole. Took a while.

Vapour Tank.
A good friend welded up the metal.
I painted it.
Then the plastic sheet was silicon and pop riveted into place.
Then It was allowed to warm up. That was a mistake. The plastic sheet expanded and cracked.
But not bad enough to warrant replacement.

I am letting the silicon dry before use.

Since I has been brought by a customer I have to clean it prior working (remember we are in lockdown)
So I will wrap it up with bleach dumped rags
Tomorrow I will spray it with parts cleaner and after done that I can work on it without worrying too much about

5 more dovetailed drawers for the kitchen over the weekend. Now I have the hang of it I can mass produce batches of each size with confidence. I use this to make them.

It's a Leigh dovetail jig, expensive but very good, and like all quality tools, has a resale value. I bought this off ebay and can probably sell it on for a similar price.

Here's the result, nice tight dovetails in minutes. I cut the dovetails for all 5 drawers in about an hour. Theres not much contrast as this was before oiling the drawers

Gluing up takes time, I made a set of packing pieces with bumps on them that coincide with the pins or tails so if pushes on the bits that need it to get a tight joint, just clamping them without this doesn't get that nice joint.

Just 31 more full size drawers with through dovetails then about 12 or so smaller drawers with half blind dovetails to do.

This is pretty lame compared to @brewdexta days work, and I'm embarrassed to show it in the machining section, but today I made a knob for adjusting the output frequency on an inverter I bought a while ago.

Simple quick job but it would have been difficult without a lathe. Wonder how I managed without one for most of my life?
I could probably have got a knob online, but making it was quicker and more satisfying then searching for something suitable.
