yeah well spotted, arb is an aftermarket one by kw/st performance
the origenal one snapped a clamp for the second time so fitted this one as its a lot stronger

Today I made a locking tool for a Fiat Multijet DMF.
Rough and ready but what else do you do on a Saturday night when there's no one about.
Can't really complain about changing the DMF, this one did over 175K miles (but it was mullered).
Clutch would have lasted longer but no way am I going in this deep without changing everything.

cheers bud, those eibach ones are superb. i was eyeing them up before i bought these ones but these ones seemed to have better mount points.
im using eibach springs with bilstein b6 dampers so hopefully these should complement it.

I needed a small shovel, to shovel small amounts of coke into my small lead furnace.
So I made one.
Small amounts of impure lead is thrown in, it pools at the bottom and runs out.

Today, fed up with moving the stuff on the floor [@The_Yellow_Ardvark : Note!] to get access to the low level cupboards in the cave, I knocked this up from odds & ends I had lying about - parts of it used to be a vegetable rack in the local Butchers' shop, so recycling taken to the extreme.
Rain stopped play, but I just have to paint it, cut to size and paint the shelves, and job's a good 'un.

As a bonus, it can act as a 'side trolley' for when I'm working at the lathe, mill or drill - as long as I can keep the top clear and not load it up with 'stuff'.......as you do!
We have a few round tables at the mens shed about 2' diameter, 3' high & mounted on castors. They were made for basket weaving but we use them for holding tools if you are working at a bench. Also great for setting a paint pot on.
I have a couple of office chair bases I'm going to use to make some for myself so I will have height adjustment as well.
A 306 had a similar bracket, had to manufacture one when I was restoring my D turbo. No longer available from Peugeot & none at the breakers. Luckily I had one to get a pattern from but not easy as it was the wrong side so everything was a mirror image!
I made a locking pin set for HDI peugeots for changing timing belts, like you made from whatever bolts & pins I could find. Has been used since to change belts on several cars & works so well I didn't bother making a proper set when I got a lathe!

A new tube for a parasol base, old one had rusted down to nothing.
Couldn't find a chunk of solid stainless so it's just a thick piece of steel pressed and welded into a stainless tube. First time welding in a few years, so I'm reasonably happy with it. It's a bit undercut, the plan was to machine it down and fill in the low spots but it was such a pain to machine I just left it.
Gonna leave the cast iron base rusty so it matches the table and chairs.
