^^ That's a pricey bit of kit, but at 1500W will be much better than the average, which seem to be in the 3/400 - 700/800 range.

Yeh, I spent a while deciding to bite the bullet on it. Talked myself into it as it will last me for a good while and I shouldn't kill it through misuse. I've got an angle grinder I'm in the process of adapting to run the disc on the old belt and disc sander, was an Aldi one but I knocked it off the bench and the handle detached from the body, it's seen some use though so it doesn't owe me anything, and this way it'll live on a bit. Also, somehow I've done it again, meant to post thatbin the today I acquired thread

My 'manual' is an A4 sheet, printed on one side only...... This is [hopefully] what the control looks like, + a remote control which is slightly different from the one above, in that it has "Off" and "On" below which are another 2x buttons with "-" and "+"

My control is the same as in your picture.

Top left - setup for clock and timer and ‘stuff’.
Bottom left - ‘ok’ toggles between error number display, time, room temperature, set temperature.
Right middle - on/off

If you press ‘ok’ until it shows something like 1000v (or some number followed by v), then press up or down to increase/reduce the temp. Toggle ‘ok’ to set time, and timers, or see room temperature. This tok me a while to work out.

I shall attempt to find the set of instruction I downloaded, and send them to you.

This arrived today, after burning out the motor on my draped belt and disc sander I spend a while humming and haying about what to do. A new motor for it was 120ish and as I've been using it for both wood and metal work (with extraction) I thought I would probably run into the same problem so decided an upgrade was in order.

Be interested how you get on with that, I'm after something decent and been contemplating building one based on Jeremy Schmidt's design (youtube build its a good watch) but as with many projects I know the cost will soon tot up!

Just made a bush fix on her car. Bit of oil can and 3 jubilee clamps to fix the exhaust, at least it wasnt the back box again. Centre section this time, just what I wanted after a nice 12hour nightshift
Looked online, 50 quid for a new one so I'm tempted to just replace it instead of further bodgery, but the temp repair will last until I get round to it.

I'll put up some pics if it's not to horrendous! I'm using the anglegrinder to driving the belt that used to go from the motor to drive the sanding belt. Need to do some cobbling to make some bracketry to hold it in place. Got the pulley fitted onto the grinder so a bit more fettling and it might be running.

At least it wasn’t raining mate, I’d get a new bit as you’d be surprised how much extra fuel a blowing exhaust uses

This mornings effort(s) - not the best/neatest job I've ever turned out, but ought to be adequate once I make the baffle plate to cover to outside of the exhaust vent. If this doesn't work/last I'll resort to Plan B - aka the Baldrick one of much cunning.....

It lives! Went out after lunch and fired her up - all looks good and within 3 minutes it was belting out heat. Thanks to @mrsbruce I managed vto get to grips with some of the functions - set the time to 2:07.... either that or it thinks it's 2nd of July........

Off out again to run it a bit more to harden off the fire rope glue and plan the outside baffle.

Too early for me to judge yet [I'm using paraffin for the moment] but maybe some of the others like @Burdekin will have a more accurate picture.

It will, of course depend on what your personal heat settings are - that and the ambient temperatures.

I think I lied to you, it’s the hertz(?) bit that adjusts the heat (well, adjusts the fan, I think, thus the heat). 1.0 being the lowest setting.

I cobbled a little roller to feed my Rage Evolution chop saw as I’ve got a load of box section to chop up soon and didn’t fancy sitting on the floor.

Not bad for an old conveyor roller, a domed sign base, some M20 all thread and a bit of 2mm sheet.

I haven't made anything but have made lifting my table on my home made press a lot easier, Ive fitting a couple of pulleys and a boat winch to lift it up and let it down make a lot of difference as it heavy.
