Today, I made the news......no, not the front page of the papers, but the letters for the weather vane I'm slowly crawling towards making.

My contribution today. Again not just today but completed today (well last night).
The little bit goes on top of the bigger bit. Welding not so good but have a rotator now and better setting, this will improve.
The first two bits bolt up to this bit (which is upside down if anyone is wondering)
Bottom protection sheets. Plasma cut and to be riveted to the 40 SHS, so if little treasures
get underneath they can't remove any appendages
Lastly the deck tread plates 2.5mm 304 S/S. The soft impact rubber compound (playground rubber and glue) to be cast on top of this. Item is now off to be blasted and painted before returning to be finally assembled. Oh joy
Have been promised to be making another 5 we will see

do yourself a favour found out a way to stop that thing from spinning so fast as i was one of the naughty ones that did spin them on the old roundabouts
truth be told i got caught by one of the bigger ones when i was a kid got spun on it hard
what they didnt know is a like nasty rides so didnt bother me we caught the lad latter and paid him the favour back and spun him on the ride he kinda went flying for it and it hurt if that bar followed through
we also spun it up at break times and dinner times you had to be fast to grab that bar and jump on if not you got the bar in your hip hard and got flicked off it hard as well
last time i spun one up was with a friends kids and him but there kids loved it we spun it so fast everyone was watching 2 grown men spining it but if they wanted off we stopped it fast
also not cruel anyone else wanted a go we let them and spun it slowly for them
it also had an anti fast spin mode on it at higher speeds
it could be something as simple as another dulling wheel underneath it

Weather the last two weeks has been poor, most days it has been blowing a gale and on the few days it wasn't it has been raining
Anyway got back on to the table replacement on a Cheetah Cat, skipper is away in Oz at the moment so no rush but have to get on whilst the weather is good.
Got the frame and legs finished yesterday and got some of the sheets on today, tomorrow I hope to get the hinges made for the back section and then sheeted and that should be me about done.

What was it with a moped? Get some real power off them, lots of YouTube vids of people learning quickly about centrifugal force

Is it a Legacy or Outback? Wouldn't mind the latter but they're too expensive atm and our two Foresters aren't showing any signs of dying yet

Yes, Subaru Outback, like it a lot but preferred my Legacy Spec B, both 3.0L so good accel but the SpecB was a manual so about 2 seconds faster 0-60, also it was lower so not so high to lift stuff into both like drinking the juice though
