Back up the road today to start on the welding of the second 6.9 Cheetah pod extensions.
Got the plate between the pods welded in.

Been using single pulse again and again pretty happy with the welds.
Even the overhead ones went in pretty well.
Started refitting the old tail section of the table, had to make a few alterations including cutting the angle to allow the new 100HP engines to tilt, previous ones were smaller both physically and in HP being 70's.
The one I was working on last weekend and the previous weekend as well is now ready for relaunch which should be tomorrow, pic a bit blurry but you can see the steeering setup that I showed the link arms for previously.
It has, at this point, stuck to the 70HP outboards.

Got finished at 7 this evening, made the extension piece for the table, got it welded in and the supports welded in. Next weekend I hope I can get the steering ram fitted and tie rods made and also extend the Alu that runs down the gunwale and make new rope guide rails.
Had to slope this one a bit more than the previous one due to the height of the 100HP engines.

Made some progress on the beds for the donkey engine for the AMC Catamaran, still have to make up a mount/slide for a Jabsco impeller pump and dress off a few corners .
Hopefully the Boatyard will have some steel plate glassed on top of the old engine beds soon so I can bore and tap for the flexi feet.

Cobbled up a wee saw horse out of reclaimed wood (complete with remains of old drive screws

Sad to say this starts when I was a few sheets to the wind, Greenback was a few leagues ahead.
I quote.
"I bet TYA you can't make jack out of this pile of junk, I just found it in my pile of scrap"
Oh dear.
4 bits of 25mm box.
One spanner, with 1 jaw ground bigger.
A pair of old gas makers pilers, the joint was so loose you could twist the handles. Then the jaws would miss.
4 links of chain.
That's what he gave me. I took another beer and supped it.
"OK, what do I win when I do"
More ale supped.
He replied, "more beer. but it has to be useful"
That's what I made.
That was Saturday. Many ales was scuppered.
Plus a curry at 3am.
There it is.
The final effect was done by cooking it in a fire pit. Letting it cool, then using battery acid and bee's wax rubbing t on with wire wool and leaving it outside.
The hanging plant beam was fitted this afternoon. I sprayed it with rattle can lacquer.
Any one want a beer?

Not had much to show this week of the refit of the AMC Catamaran as it has just been hauling old wiring and piping out and hauling new stuff in, fitting helm pumps, plumbing them up etc. This evening however I made up a panel to cover the old holes where the previous instrument panels had been.
Milled some 4mm plastic sheet on the Chiron.
Fitted the new donkey engine panel, and the Yamaha gauges/switches etc. Tomorrow I will get it fitted and hopefully the Boatyard will start glassing the steel into the engine beds.

Just looking at it now I am thinking I maybe should have had the trim switches side by side, oh well, can always change later if required as I still have a bit of plastic left.

Panel fitted and partially wired, still waiting on extensions for the Yamaha cables.
Got the pulley for the Jabsco pump today so got it fitted, the fenner tyre fitted and the clutch/pump unit assembled and bolted to the frame.
Also made up the steering rods, they can be seen sitting on the frame.

ive been making this up for a garage cover / shelter
one side had to be angled enough to clear guttering on other roof concrete floor to be drilled and fastened to the garage wall by plates of steel
ive still got to make the roof apex these steels are 12' long by 4x2 5mm thick and 3mm 4x4 for the corners
its to go at side of this for the garage/ cover
the sides im using steel racking so sheets can be connected to it

I've had a nice day standing in front of a flypress making this lot, drew out the profiles in autocad earlier in the week and got them laser cut,
And this is what they make up into, Mounting kits for putting baluns into a rack, off to powder coating Monday then a few screws to put in to assemble them

Back up the road today getting on with the alterations to the second Cheetah 6.9m (now 8m)
Altered the previous rope deflector section to fit the new extended table and started extending the angle slide down the gunwale.
Using single pulse on the EWM more now and I am liking it a lot. This weld was a round wear bar welded to the side of the old section of table.

Finished this up today:
Edit: Paintwork didn't come out quite as I'd hoped. The compressor died so I ended up rollering it.
Edit 2: Still haven't got round to getting the MIG going so it was all done with 3.2 6013's on the trusty old Oxford.
