Anvils, keep on seeing them on fb marketplace, but really don't need one...To be honest it gets very little use, very handy when you do need it though.

When the metal is still warm I coat it with bee's wax and linseed oil.

Finished, new edges dressed on the blade.
Due to the worm damage and the rust it is now a show only tool.

Finished welding up the frame for my pseudo 'tool wall' and made a bracket to mount it on the back of the old bureau; took some sash cramps and harsh language to get it screwed on the rear if it single-handedly.
Annoyingly the spanners have become magnetised and rather than hang perfectly vertically on their screws they swing towards each other and congregate - only bugs me because I spent so much time spacing them out!![]()
