I often find myself digging through thé drawers, so after 6 odd years i pulled off the protective plastic and 5 minutes and a few stupid spelling mistakes.

Nothing amazing, but made me happy, I'm easily pleased.

Couplings because then easy swap and to store. 3 and perhaps more different sized coils for different jobs.

Anything up to about 6 ounces in a small graphite crucible . Hoping to cast some useable ceramic crucibles in the near future when the final materials arrive from the sellers any day now . Have made several wax forms ( green carving wax ) in silicone moulds but the wax was too hot @ 300 oC and melted the silicone giving me a blob of silicone & wax . Purchased some lower temp wax from China ( blue 180 oC melting ) & some liquid silicone with a catalyst which is supposed to take up to 250 oC before it too melts , it's also supposedly in the post & expected in tomorrow .

What's the reason for the couplings instead of the pipes being crimped on to solid brass terminals .... I have a nice octagonal long arm hexagonal terminal crimping tool that can handle 4 mm to 16 mm tube crimps think I may be able to use that instead if I'm going to make an induction furnace.
When I get to melting my alu & die cast zinc scrap I'll be using a big 80 mm Bullfinch tar burner lance on full bore . Heating the aluminium on some expanded pressed steel sheet so as the it melts it will fall through into a water filled wooden box like rain drops & stay in that shape ..... nice & clean when cold ( hopefully ) .

Then I'll be using my small forge ( or home melter made from a 24 in high ex butane cylinder of reinforced furnace concrete & a home made welded up steel melting pot to turn them back to liquid Alu for casting . If that does not work I've plenty of Plaster of Paris to do a pint sized slip cast of fine porcelain slip to make crucibles and get my wife's pottery making friend to fire them up in her big electric kiln

The dripping molten alu into water sounds a really good solution to collecting usable scrap - doesn't it frighten you though?

I just borrowed it from work for the evening, no way I'm peeling off all that masking tape...

The dripping molten alu into water sounds a really good solution to collecting usable scrap - doesn't it frighten you though?

No, not concerned at all as the grid will be at least 30 inches higher than the couple of inches of water in the top cut off & removed ex gas cylinder . So I won't get splashed or even damp from hot water or burnt by the molten aluminium ...

It's how they used to make lead shot in 90 foot tall towers , several tons at a time pouring molten lead through a round hole screen bucket , the length of fall to the water pit lent itself to a quality spherical lead ball forming at low cost . . Once cooled they were then graded for rollability , being roundish over a set of drop out tables then sized along two long heavy iron rods set off parallel to each other so the smallest stuff drops out first . some would go to shot gun cartridge makers & others to haberdashery concerns who made lead weighted rope/cord for dress hems & curtains . Some would go to angling concerns as split weights & they also went to various engineering establishment that wanted soft lead pellets to balance things or to set a slotted head screw thread in a small hole

I have the same label maker used mostly for labelling up trestle legs for dispatch... they have long part names and cba writing it all out a hundred times
The only bad thing about them IMO is the ABCDE keyboard, not QWERTY... annoys me every time I have to type out a label.

How did you get an engine stand into an ice cream container?

Wish I was that organised.
My stuff is generally in a drawer and that's as narrowed down as it gets.
Although on the odd occasion it might be found in 'a pile' or 'on the floor'.

That said I did put up a tool holder at the weekend for some of the files, pliers, and other tools which just live on the bench. I say holder, it's a plank with another bit of wood screwed to it

The contents almost match what the label says.
But I know were my tools are.

I labeled the top few drawers in my Bisley cabinet, they get more vague and mixed as you go down, no.6 is full of random pins and shafts, mostly to be used as punches and drifts, affectionately labelled "****".
