sorry to reply to an older post, but where did you get the aluminium extrusion from? I've been looking at a few websites but they all charge silly delivery fees.

The aluminium extrusion for my router table came out of a skip, but I bought a few lengths recently to make a planing jig. They came from an ebay seller (danniellepaisley) who had a few (long) off-cuts that they were selling quite cheaply. They were all slightly odd lengths, but plenty long enough for what I needed.

About to throw the bottom I cut out of the Sunbeam sump. Has ‘BSA’ cast in the corner.
So cut it out for a keyring

i made a very basic radiator pressure test kit today.

found a leak...

grrrr, that wasnt the one i just fixed (leak from tank join) where did that come from....

Worked on the Fimer TP35K during the late morning , this afternoon and the evening.
Discovered few things .
The rectifier could be actually good ,but why not change it?
It miss power on the control board ,so I've put a 12V power supply and it works enough to say me that there are problems .
The relay switch on and gives current to the rectifier .
Capacitors don't charge .
So the fan and the internal compressor work
It shows me that there is a failure .
The control board has a separate power supply than the Power board
There are IGBTs and MOSFETs that provides current to the control board .
On Monday a friend will borrow me proper tools to dissolder the components and I'll start to make the point of the situation .
But TBH it's the first plasma cutter I try to fix and the customer/friend has no expectations
We already talked about replacing the board with a cut 50 and use the solenoid valve signal to switch on a contactor to give power to the compressor .
To do that will be required to eliminate the HF start board because we will use the trafimet s45 torch that is a blowback pilot arc torch .
We will see if I can repair it one way or another

Best Boy's Cheapo Chinese bike's twistgrip broke, nipple pulled through the plastic... Temp repair got him going but left him with a sticky throttle, time for a new twistgrip barrel:

"Oh, they all do that" and "no, don't get the call for 'em" - Grrrr

Yes it’ll have either fibreglass matting or stainless wool inside it.
