No made but repaired today. A casting that actually brazed okay. I reckon I could of got away with Veeing it out a lot more now.
Or even done it with nickel rods.

And repaired the feet in the cast aluminium motor.

Tidy work, thats saved someone a whole chunk of cash and saved down time. Do you kow how they manged to brake it?

I was almost ready to give the test ...
Now I'm not sure if tomorrow I want go to school
Almost killed a pedestrian
I was driving smoothly on a road ,a pedestrian fell on the car bonnet ,I been not able to brake .
Instructor did for me .
Pedestrian is fine but I am really proved by this experience

That's really unfortunate, do you mean he stepped into the road from the pavement? Glad to hear no-one was injured but I can see how it would dent your confidence.

All I can advise is not to give up. It was entirely his fault.

I was too much on the right side of the road (in Italy we drive the opposite way than England ) because I had to surpass a parked truck .
Pedestrian was on the sidewalk , walking on its edge (I should have asked why) ,the car had 20cm clearance between the wheel and the sidewalk .
Miss step of the pedestrian cause him to fell onto the car bonnet

In most cases I would say that's right .
But if I was alone I'd probably killed her , and now I was in jail .
There's a law here that if you run over someone you go in jail

He was really sad while telling me that.
I don't go to work this evening because he said me that he will call me later so I'll go to see him before the surgery,the chemio and all this stuff

Repaired today ,customer brought this cutter in with a rounded grub screw,which has a left and right hand thread.
Luckily I had some left handed collets.

Today I reached a bit of a landmark in my first proper wood-bothering project. I'm still finding this cellulose stuff a bit odd compared to metal, but I'm getting there.

This is just a dry fit to see how it looks; I still need to do lots of sanding, some gluing and lots and lots of coats of varnish/oil mix.

Need to work on my hand sawing accuracy: all the saw cuts have required a lot of tidying up with chisels and/or planes!

Sanding sealer and French polish will seal that a treat. Plus bring the grain up.
