i know you said "for fun",but copper sulphate is much easier/cheaper to buy than the sulphuric acid to *make* copper sulphate.
or do you just tap it off old lead/acid batteries?
I can buy powdered Copper Sulphate from E-Bay. I have 1kg here already.
