The little thing? I guess it could loosely be called a machinists jack. Basically a bit of 30mm round bar with a threaded hole down the middle and a thumbscrew in each end.

It’s great and the scooters are just the thing for bouncing off each other. It makes for a nice break from classic motocross.

Made these table legs, not today but over the last couple of days
Is that arrow in the top left showing the direction in case it goes south?I made a health and safety chap cry. Got a large stone to lay as a top step, Mates are all busy so Egyptian techniques were employed. Worked surprisingly well, nothing broke and no one got squished.

Not Made by me. But I supplied a brain cell and a small 6 year old small human Human did the work.
Very shy small human. But found out that you can have a "Real steam engine at home"
So I showed him the mock up of my Mamod Workshop ( Waiting on some decent timber.)
But he noticed that one part (Small item by engine) was not working. I explained why. It needs to engineering done.
I explained it need a new fly wheel(Had to explain what a fly wheel was), new spring and a good oil(Need to clarify that bit)
Hunt a spring, he found one in minutes of us looking in the tin (Git)
Should of been a M3 threaded hole ( I know they should be imperial. But I don't have imperial grub screws)
But due to a wobbly hand we had to make M4.
Not a big problem. He taped the hole. Amazed he was cutting metal by hand. Mum is watching this, she will need a smile reduction.
Assembled by him, flooded in oil.
He wanted it to work.
Who am I to say no.
So we made a mock up. He did the drilling of screws. Filling the boiler and drowing the engine in oil.
I did the lighting of the meths in the burner, the work bench and a rag.
One happy TYA, 1 very happy Small human.
One Mum very happy.

Made a start to widening and extending a trailer. Chopped off the front section ready to fit a 500mm long section and then I will reweld the front back on. So far I have added 600mm to the width, and added a 2125mm extension on the rear, the fun will continue tomorrow

Tried to organize the tools I got with the FP2. I just drilled some holes in a shipping crate, sanded it, put some water based poly on it and screwed it to the tool wall. Hardly fine woodworking but I got some use out of some junk.
Lighting was low in the shop so the images turned out rather cruddy, hence the small size.

It has been slow progress today, took me nearly all day to cut/weld up the front section and weld it in place. There was no one there today so no help with lifting it, a few years ago it would have been no problem but I am feeling my age and it was hard going 
I really do not like welding this stuff up, every single joint has to be ground to remove the galvanising and it adds a lot of time to the job if comparing to bare steel , stainless or Aluminium.
