A catapult for a mate who goes fly fishing - I know you can buy them for 9p, but where's the challenge in that? They use them to scare diving birds from the trees bordering the loch - they dive and either nick the fish stock or frighten them off the fly. Poor pic and no mug, standards are slipping......

Mines been with me for many years. 6yo likes playing with it. Thankfully only train line and woods over the fence.

Good morning gents. Over the last week, when time permits have been extending the plasma / router table to handle larger sheets, and have test run today.
Just a mill of some MDF 32mm spoil board to make it flat for routing some HDPE (high density polyethylene sheet). When I checked to vid it seems quite poor in resolution, but you get the idea

Really good customers and pleased I've been asked to return.
Il be fitting a utility room in the extension neXT to the kitchen in june/July.
More units in that than my own kitchen and that's big.

Following my post #2655, not much achieved bar turning the small oxy bottle in the lathe to square off the wonky cut off(s), welded on a bit to atop the lid opening beyond 'balance' point and added a loop at the tail end for hanging BBQ tools from.
Been distracted as my brother's been admitted to hospital for the 2nd time with dramatic weight loss - c. 4 stones overall, 8 lbs in the last week. He had an endoscopic examination today when the surgeon took biopsies at three points, starting at the small intestine and travelling upwards. Samples off the lab and the waiting begins....
As a family we've always been the old-fashioned Stoic types, but this has given him a shake [and me too, although I've now had 10 years to get used to 'serious' illness].
Makes you pause and consider things...........

The fun was using a Victorian spindle/dowel trimmer.
The Orange strap is there as it is holding in place some bark what was damaged in transit.
