Shakespeare's phrase "hoist with his own petard"—meaning that one could be lifted (blown) upward by one's own bomb, or in other words, be foiled by one's own plan—has become an idiom that means "to be harmed by one's own plan (to harm someone else)" or "to fall into one's own trap".

If following his blackout he's seen a GP or a consultant, he'll have been told that he's obliged to inform the DVLA, an automatic 6 month medical driving ban will follow and he'll be asked to surrender his licence. The cause of his blackout and the treatment he receives will be reflected in how soon he can reapply for his licence.View attachment 393874View attachment 393875 a rack to hold the kayaks, the rusty one was on a year View attachment 393876 and a fuel tank I started for a trike that will probably end up in the scrap bin as the guy blacked out on his way home from my house and may have his licence taken of him
