Meant to say there is no bottom dross on the steel and the top just falls off if you wipe your finger over it as it just a fine spray like dross.All top dross, not much at all on the bottom
I really don’t know about water tabling mine…..
I’ve got a down draft at the moment but it has actually increased heat back to the work piece. Which is a real pain in the hoop when it comes to stainless, which I do a lot of.
Wondering if water is the way to go. What about consumables, water getting flung about, treatment etc etc? Trying to weigh it all up.
The Alu often gets the same top dross but the bottom gets a slight bit of dross where it goes over the cutting bar, you can see some on the second down part..

A bit of wood bothering today, made a radiator cover from all the off cuts and some reclaimed MDF, even the hinges are reclaimed from a door, just needs a paint now.

I "made" my new bike shed complete with the last of the flashings tonight, and started loading it up with paddle boards, bike etc. Quite a novelty for my bike to live in a shed... the last two years it's almost 100% lived in my car with the back seats down

Took my oxy-propane Torch at work today.
At the end of the day we tested together with the bosses
Set 0.8 bar on propane ,3 on oxygen .
Lighted it on
It has produced much intense heat ,and stronger flame than the bosses ones set at 4bar on propane an 10 on oxygen
They asked me to find another one equal to mine

Could you please do a weld on a couple of bits of scrap ally and deliberately dab the electrode then do a close up just to make mere mortals like me feel better. Beautiful work. " dropped off" if my efforts were that good they would be in a glass case.
Sometimes it's difficult to hand parts over I've took the time handled the parts with surgical gloves or tig gloves then they come with dirty oily hands and mess them up
