I’m getting wed tomorrow,so last weekend got around to making some rings for her,neither of us want bling and she appreciates anything made personal,relief as the budgets been broken.
A piece of 316ss from the offcuts tray ,the copper was stretched with a drift into an oversize die,the resulting flare gave me enough material to swage back to give extra thickness,I’d told her originally I’d go as far as a pipe olive,then on reflection realised she’s worth more,so yet more brownie points.View attachment 362858View attachment 362859

Made a dozen feet, for a "rush Job" only to discover the customer has gone away for the week(?)




Made these a couple times in the past for the HI-Fi lot but these are for Benchrest rigs. They are to put the spikes (feet) into to stop them destroying the bench tops.

Might anodise the next lot.

Unfortunately not however it was provided by my previous employer so wont have been the best i imagine, APT is whats primted on it.

Today i finished off a bar, made for our yacht club's 100th Centenary bash this Saturday, two stainless steel kitchen unit frames with shelves from my mates scrap yard bolted together, one 16ft rowing skiff badly damaged port side so was going to be cut up. Shortened her by two feet in the middle & all built out of scrap. Taken about 4 days work, what the hell we only do this once a century!

Started with J blast superfine but that wasn't doing a great job and it's mega aggressive. It was attacking the soft cast and paint and filler being bounced off. So then went to chilled iron grit. Bout a 12-16" blasting distance worked just right. Took paint off without removing detail.

Got to fix my Hodge Clemco 1440NC blast pot - stopped working half way through a job - the dead mans valve has stuck and the feed cone that lets sand in from the hopper isn't moving - more dismantling
