I'm gonna state the obvious here..... most of you already have the tool to do this job with no extra expense... A
bench grinder or a angle grinder..... What am i missing? seems like a tool for the sake of it to me.

Its not your fault, I chose to have a gamble on the cheap chinese option. Will most probably get the Laser one through work, It probably won't be any more expensive tbf.

Got a refund from the chinese, But the laser one is currently on back order until February!

I agree, the Chinese one is useless, two reasons:

The cutting "edge" is too full to cut mild steel.

And, the killer for me, the tool fouls any fixing or nut, so the point of a quick easy to dress threads fails, as you have to unbolt the nut. At which point you might as well dress it with the power file.
