Stuck boss in cast iron compressor cylinder head-help

I know people that swear by ATF. I use diesel but that could just be me showing my age.

Hello Pete,

Try some more heat then apply your penetrating oil (I assume something like plus gas, not WD40 which is not very good for that job). Also give the boss a good whacking with a big hammer to try and crack the corrosion and finally try tightening as well as loosening.
The other thing as it is so large maybe a longer bar?

I missed some of the posts so I have repeated someone else's suggestion.
I would also say that there is nothing better than a proper penetrating oil, diesel, etc was used generally because it was available and thin but will not be as effective.

Peter - your welcome to use my oxyacetylene if you need to get it a bit hotter.
I have an adapter on my impact wrench - so your socket should fit it.

Grind it flat, centre it, drill it and grow your drills, then throw an extractor at it.

75mm is a misters bolt, good luck.

Took me 3hrs to remove a 36mm stud this week.
