Update on this setup.
i get about 2 days welding with these before something goes tts up,and porosity ensues
i think the collet is weakening and shifting to partly block the gas from flowing freely through the ports in the collet body.
i think,as i havent had the time to investigate properly.ive gone back to standard sizes while my usa made stubby gas lense kit is in transit.

I have a stubby gas lens for my 17 now. After I read this post I was intrigued about the collect bodies but went with the gas lens for my air cooled on the rehm. It's good because my ceramics off the wp20 are the same fitting so one cup fits all.

I have a ck stubby gas lense kit kicking about somewhere too but the push on ceramics are never at hand on short notice.

I thought about a ck stubby kit but they just seem so pricy. 5 lenses with collets etc was like the best part of £100. I got an un branded kit from America took a while for delivery but was about $50 all in. For the same number of parts as the ck. I've got a couple clear cup gas savers off langy for my 20.

I bought it pick n mix style,bout fifty quid for 1.6 and 2.4 setup with a few cups.not too bad but the diffusers are a bit prone to wear

I cannot get on with a 26 at all. I've had a couple machines supplied with em for some crazy reason. I just flog em for what I can get.

I can't get on with the 26 either. I keep it for big stuff where I need a lot of amps. The little 9 I have is terrific for most of the work I do.
