Watched a video yesterday with a StrongHand MagTab in it and on the spur of the moment bought one from Stakesy`s.

Are they any good?
Any tips or tricks for using them?

Looks very handy - I've just added one to my list for Santa - it's going to take more than that to sort out my foul language though (Stakesy's web page promises no more burnt fingers and foul language)!

Not so good on stainless, ally etc . Personally i'm not a fan of magnetic 'clamps' as they tend to end up covered in fillings (storing 'em in a plastic bag helps some) and can cause arc wander problems but for what they cost they look handy

No, I had thought of the stainless limitation! I have experienced the arc wander issue and for that reason have shied away from the more usual welders right angle magnetic clamps. Hopefully the magnets in this gadget will be small enough not to be an issue? We shall see.

Good point, luckily I can't afford either of those....

Will bear in mind that point on filings though and keep them wrapped up when not in use.
