Strong flexible plastic glue?

Ah! It's like a little universal joint using the flexibility of the plastic as the pivots in two directions. Very clever. But obviously prone to fatigue.

If you struggle to get a reliable fix, you could rebuild to incorporate something like this;

Well that JB weld plastic glue was a bit carp




With no effort it came apart. Dispite sanding and acetone cleaning. It appears to be stuck OK on the larger corresponding piece so I added superglue and stuck them again hopefully that extra adhesion does the trick now it has more contact area with the expoxy.

Would that not work better as a butt fusion joint? As in a hot thin sheet put between both parts and quickly remove/push the two parts together. Not all plastics take to glue, heat works on most.

Whats on the other end of the black parts? 3d print some new ones in petg or abs.

can you make some alloy flat straps to fit over that part of the heater box and pop rivet it on with a decent backer and thats it all sorted for ever
