not the best of things to use strimmers im going to put a set of wheels on mine with suficient height so the blade is only a an inch or so off the deck . then u just push it back and forth with no effort

sat on a collecting box of some sort, both wheels removed and the original handle made into a cranking handle.

As I envisage your brief description it'd be Hell on Earth to crank?
