Wrong size crimps.
They also have been over crimped, this adds more stress to the wire at the crimp end.
Also they are not fitted correctly. This add to the stress the cable strands suffer. Leading to breakages and loss of conductivity. We used to say:
Every wire broken you see, there are 3 broken you can't see."
I suspect there was not cable boot fitted as well, one thing will lead to more damaged to the cores.
The insulation is not trimmed square, this means it will not sit square to the crimp.
Cut back 150mm, get the right crimp, add a boot and redo.
