Would it re-drill from the other side? Or, weld it up and start again?

Probably not without following the p***ed hole.Would it re-drill from the underside?![]()

Aye. That’s likely too if you force it places it don’t wanna go.Aye, or knackering a perfectly good drill bit.....![]()
He says it fits in a 4 jaw so it’s easy stuff to open it up a bit and make it straight.

I did wonder who would be first.Trying really hard to resist going into schoolboy mode with that sentence.![]()

Got ya. Cheers Richard.Excellent job. Nicely done.
Was good to see the little Myford put to use.
Little tip. When doing any boring out just have the bar protruding the holder enough to get from a to b. You can get flex in the bar. On your final cut don’t take a cut depth just run it back through at the previous cut set and you’ll find it still takes a cut because it’s being relieved
Shhhh. That was the first thing I made on that lathe(on any lathe).is that a new toolpost to replace the manky one on your lathe![]()
Yes it's to replace the little myford one.is that a new toolpost to replace the manky one on your lathe![]()
It's done well mate.Shhhh. That was the first thing I made on that lathe(on any lathe).Quick and dirty. Needed a tool post to make my next tool post. Balsed up.the collet on the mk 2 and continued using the above.
Facing that off on the mk1 was fun. So was milling the slots.
It's almost spot on. Just got to mill a couple of mm off the bottom. How did the tool post I sent turn out. You managed to get it working on your bigger lathe.
Sorted it chaps.

I did it with a hand drill.it was only a fraction out but over the thickness of the tool post holder ended up being a lotOut of curiosity, how did you manage to drill the original hole on the wonk?
