Been on the sofa for the last 3 nights. Cooler down here
We still have a powercut here. But the strange thing is the lights in the kitchen are sort of half on. From time to time the remote ringer from the ring camera/doorbell bleeps.
The lights in the toilet keep coming of and on but nothing else in the house has any power to it.......oh except the Humax TV box blue light is on......quite spooky.

looks frightening. even worse if your on a hanglider and the bloody clouds sucking u up in to it
thunderclouds can easily up tip aeroplanes the lift is incredible 
We had the silent Lightning last night until about 4 am, then the sound joined in..........It woke me so I was watching until it appeared to stop, so I went back to bed.......just dozing off and there was one clap so loud that I think I left the bed and hovered about a foot high (not really but felt like it)
After a fitful night in Manchester, just loaded out of Nottingham and the temperature is a much more bearable 19 degrees.
Apart from being cream crackered from too little sleep, it's amazing how rejuvenating a cool shower and a change of clothes is.

Big storm in Swansea last night. Loads of thunder and lightning. Torrential rain. It helped put out a fire in one of the new university buildings just down the road from us.
Terrific storm at home as well. Rain woke me 6am.
Temperature was unbearable last night. 30c and really humid. As soon as the storm hit dropped to 20c

We have a clock In the bedroom with temperature that projects onto a surface, proudly informing you it was 29.9c last night. I slept downstairs, had barely any sleep. So I’ve just caught up 2hrs on the workshop floor laid on a bag of rags. Im knackered.

I’m the same the last 2 nights, on top of this, close by, a pole top transformer blew. Western power reckoned it was squirrel damage! I couldn’t see any frazzled ones though. Western power brought out a gen set to keep the power up. It only feeds a greenhouse, the owner said “don’t worry about it” “but we’ve got to else we get stung for compo” blasted genset is about 50 yards from our house, but the low pitch diesel thump is really irritating & meant we had to keep the windows shut all night.
