I don't think they are really formulated for forge temperatures, just as heat sinks to slowly release stored heat. You could try them as an experiment but keep some distance till you establish whether they explode or not (depends on what amount or type of concrete they have in them)
If they're the old style heavyish fire bricks then absolutely ideal and will last a long time even with some abuse from a direct flame.
Most modern storage heaters have some lightweight material in totally unsuitable.
I would not use the storage heat bricks personally as there to absorb the heat and then release it out slowly I would go for the light ones that are for insulation and reflect the heat back in
They are perfect for a coke forge the light ones are too soft and won't last two minutes. The light ones are best for gas forges where you want the heat reflected and dont get so much abuse.
