I have found an unlimited supply of free storage heater bricks, are they any good for firebricks for wood stoves, or for propane forges ?
Anyone want any ?
so he used a dolly tub & peg !
Dolly tub was for the rich - the rest had to make do with rubbing on flat stone.thought thats normal anyway for Stoke? only us upmarket Burton lot had washing machines
Actually anyone not too far away from me (Werrington, Stoke-on-Trent) have a few storage heater bricks they don't want ? Tried wanted message on Freecycle but no joy.
I'm thinking that if bricks heated in the oven then they might be a heat source for my enclosed mobility scooter in cold weather if put in something like an ammo tin with a computer fan blowing heat out.
Is this the same stuff as I'd use for my bikini lineThey are super heavy! If you want to go that route, have a look at paraffin wax as a latent heat source.

Great for piza ovens.
They are easy to come by too - one quick note to free cycle, and there will be lots of people offering them.
proper way to dismantle them is get a hand spray fill with water start stripping them down and spray the insulation as u go along. then double bag it .wear a dust mask as well . all heaters manafactured after 1974 are asbestos freeIf you do strip a night storage heater be wary of the asbestos risk as they used it as an insulation right up to the end of the legal period which was 1999 so only 17 years ago!
hi can you still get hold of night storage blocks?I have found an unlimited supply of free storage heater bricks, are they any good for firebricks for wood stoves, or for propane forges ?
