Stopping tools rusting

Night heater?

Mine always get cleaned. No matter what. I get sick of rusty tools! It doesn’t take long for a quick wipe to get the moisture off, that’s all they need.

On the occasion everything just gets chucked in at the end of a job I’ll drag it all out and clean it once I’m home.

Your worst enemy is going to be leaving them when you go away. Cleaning them before you do and spraying ACF 50 or something is about all you can do I reckon.

Aye I don’t like doing it and I do wipe stuff down when I put it away difficult part is it’s usually still pouring when I get home and the vans the only place I have to clean them down which when I do is open to the elements catch 22 there.

Yeah that’s a good plan.

Chuck the lot in a bucket of diesel…..they wont rust. Wipe with rag and use.

May just do that.

...on occasion getting put away wet

What volume of tools get put away wet? Is it possible to make a small heated compartment into which the wet ones go (maybe even just for the duration of your drive home) and then transfer them to their proper home once dry?
