Serious question.

Can't help but imagine it all a huge nightmare, over a long length.Pitch and diameter/radius.
You know the rise for each revolution...
You know the radius you need.
The trick is to get both right first time when you roll it if you get the radius wrong, and try and re roll, it's a nightmare.
Have you talked to diocesan architect, any thing we have done or been asked to do has been a faff, can be nearly as bad or worse than listed / historic building problems.
Tell me more about them rollers!!I would pick the best stones along the whole route, say every 700-1000mm,if your not sure of the stone depth, just drill 100 max,be prepared for some failed holes that will need plugging with a tapered wood dowel. This means plotting the route at 840-900 pitch line, use 16/20 round roll it on site if you have/borrow portable rollers, and some means of bending the bar,for adjusting the radii,I use my van tow bar,the Clevis style hitch,if the radius is consistent, you can pre roll segments in the shop first, although you may still need site bending methods for inconsistencies, for butt joins,I use a short piece of flat ,or a piece of tube that fits the bar diameter .
My rolls are limited to 40mm,so if I need to use 50h/r ,I’ll use the fly press,do you have one?
Round is easier,as the helix changes, the bar profile is the same shape as it rotates up the staircase.
Obviously the rope is the easiest,Brundle supply a nice sisal rope ,about 28 diameter at £4 odd/m.
Good luck,if you were nearer, you could borrow my rollers, workshop or portable,do you have either?View attachment 313127
