I need to put a new floor in my 2014 Citroen Dispatch van. The current floor (not fitted by me!) is standard ply with joints everywhere & is de-laminating.
I want to fit it with no joints which means I need to start with a 10x5 sheet of something. I hoped to use buffalo board but since corvid the price has shot up, back down a bit now but still expensive at around £140 for a 10x5 of 12mm, £170 for 18mm!
I was in an agri suppliers today & I spotted some stok board that might be suitable. It has a good textured finish & a 10x5 sheet was only £90, so a lot cheaper than the buffalo board.
The only issue is that the thickest stuff they have in the 10x5's is only 9mm! I have heard that it has a tendency to warp so I'd be worried that the ribbed floor of the van will create waves in the stok board!
I could get around it by installing a plywood sub floor, I have a plentiful supply of free 16 & 19mm shuttering ply I can use.
I've never used stok board before, would it be durable enough for a van floor?
Appreciate any thoughts on this.
