I have two types of cap on various Stihl things, the older more conventional cap seems to seal better than the newer black/white ones that close with a half turn.
Plenty suppliers on line have web portals that if you put the type and model number of the tool it will list spares, thats how I bought the last cap for my hedge trimmer. I only buy genuine parts as the copy stuff doesnt seem to last.
I *think* I've used this firm https://www.lsengineers.co.uk/small-plant-spares-17/stihl-parts.html and they have the search mechanism.
and I think these helped me with an obscure recoil spring for a saw https://www.gardenhirespares.co.uk/ but I had to phone them.
Our local shop always has the parts but circa 3x the price, I always try to support local shops but there is a limit.
