Fizzy ... I wonder if it is the naturally greasy contacts in the switch , similar to the problem you had with the battery pallet truck ?I had the problem on my Startrite 24" bandsaw but it's now happening on the 36" monster. Stop button just not working. Normally a little wiggle sorts it.
Always seems to be worse in cold weather. Had to switch off at the mains. About 20 yards away!
Any easy fixes?
I suspect getting at it will be the biggest problem. Cheers!Just replace it? Got any pics? I’ve probably got a replacement I could send you
Ah, if it’s an all in one No Volt Release rather than just an emergency stop button then it could well be an issue with the relay part. Again, simplest is to just replace them, you can get hold of complete units. You can try cleaning out the existing one first.I suspect it's a sticky solenoid or something. I think these things are magnetic possibly.
I know when the power goes off they are not supposed to come back on again without a reset.
Cor having to move the chocolate table to get at it ?I suspect getting at it will be the biggest problem. Cheers!
