Hi all just a general question, we have a job at work where parts of overhead railing has been damaged, it is Galvanised 50 x 5mm angle iron, we only have 50 x 5mm stainless in stock and we have 316 stainless MMA rods, the supervisor wants to cut out the damaged sections (around 1 meter in length each) and weld these in place but i have concerns that the weld may crack over time and we would be better off to order some mild steel or galv equivalent.
