nope, was going to then thought better of trying it with the inverter. current plan is to make a bridge for my buzzbox and get some dinze plugs/sockets/ cable and make some leads to try it
sorry to bring up an old post but is sum1 selling this on ebay at the moment? because ive just put a bid on it and its the same pics as zardox posted at the start?!?!? please reply asap as it finishes in 2 hours , alsoo if this is a different welder zardox did you get it goin? what was it like to weld?
its been sold by the same guy i got mine from. i never got it going as the inverter i have has small Dinse size 35 plugs and the HF unit has large size 50 ones so i need some leads that has small one end and large the other.
Although it may well work great when i eventually get my **** into gear and get some leads for it. (it will probably be cheaper to buy some plugs and wire off Weldequip make some) Frankly i wish i hadnt bothered and carried on saving for a proper HF AC/DC TIG. I may change my mind when i come off holiday and try it out though, dunno?
fair enough well if i win it ill take it into work to try it on sum stainless as i dont have gas or metal to weld and ill let you know how it goes!! how much you pay for it?
thorght i would drag this old thread up from the deep as the box in question has migrated to my workshop . connected it to the DC output of the stick/ tig set at work (need to build a AC-DC converter for my old air cooled). connections are as followes the inputs on the frount take the output from the welder keep poliraty correct. The torch connects through the gas coupling to the - and the earth connects to the +. the latch switch controls wheather its push and hold to work or push on then push off. the gas connects to the back and there is a flow gauge on the unit.
Works great took a few pics which i will upload when i get home
