Just wondering if someone can tell me what kind of steel thickness should my 180A mig be able to handle? Would 6mm mild flat bar be pushing it?
Cheers
I just bought it a couple of weeks never weld before maybe it's too big for meVery nice machine and British. 10mm no problem with that - more if you go slowly and bevel edges.

Much better too big than too small.I just bought it a couple of weeks never weld before maybe it's too big for me
only too big if it will not go down low enough for thin steel, can never have too much top end!
I don't know how low it can goWhen I was younger all I ever wanted was POWER ... more amps more power more more more
Power is nothing without control .
These days I tend to ask , how low can it go ,, strange how things change , or maybe Im just welding nicer things now rather than bigger things , But its still nice to have a bit in reserve for a bad day.
20 amps
Which one is which for the The amps voltage on my my welder the only disappointing ting about.the welder the manual that comes with it don't tell you much about the welder20 amps
tell me this then ,,,I'm not professional but the little time I have spent with the machine it would have been a job that I would have liked to done my trade I'm a tower crane driver
