EXCELLENT... glad i found this site.. quite a list there, will have to ring round to find what i want,, am after
1 5/8" 18g ERW tube.. the last lot i bought had a 1mm seam inside so was usless for fitting onto 1 1/2".. dam fleBay. if anyone has a hint of a good supplier i'd be happy

Aha Sunny Torbay. i know it well, i was always going to pearse & co selling my scrap metal. i used to live in torquay. Id often drive past Yalberton Industrial Estate on my way to and from Torquay. Happy days I didnt even know there was a metal supplier there ?

im off for a two week stay in the bay at the end of june to see some friends, and looking forward to it.

they deliver all over the south and do good rates to one off customers on internet orders. I've got an account with them and deal with them everyday but I sometimes go onto the web as a nobody to see what their rates are and they're pretty close to what I get and in the past have been less, with the discount that I'm on. They accept cards on the internet site or over the phone too.

They do consumables etc too and with the recession they have a pile of steel they can't shift!!!

I would recommend John Keatley for anything non ferrous, they are in central Birmingham. They have a bin of odds and sods just inside the door and will sell it by weight.

I recommend Abram Pulman & Sons, Walton Street, Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. 01422 833993. Deliveries throughout Yorkshire & Lancashire. I've used them almost exclusively for the last 15 years, always found them friendly and helpful, and good on price too! I think they are fairly DIY friendly, they cut to size, and they have a pick up for deliveries where they cant get big vehicles in.
