I had a notification through today saying that structural steel is getting another bump up taking it to £800 a tonne. That's 40% + in the last 12 months, which is a hit for small projects but it'll be a huge increase for stuff like the sky scrapers they're building in the centre of Birmingham. I dread to think what an increase like that will mean for HS2, and when you add in the increases in cement, aggregate, timber etc etc it's going to be silly numbers.
