Hi All
Currently building an extension on the house, this includes a garden room with a glass end wall. Due to this glass wall the roof is supported by a cranked steel lintel, steel ridge beam and 2 shs supporting columns, see picture of drawings. I need to measure this up accurately for final measurements, I need to at least get the columns in on the foundations ,they sit inside the cavity wall, so I can carry on (got as much done as I can up till now while the weathers been ok). I am not a builder or in the trade but do all my own work, I have done a couple of extensions before but never with a steel structure like this I’m sure there will be many more questions, I have a few to start. Cannot get hold the guy who did the drawings and calculations, he’s either retired or is no longer with us. Any help much appreciated.
Wall plate height ? Rafters on to timber plate on top of ridge beam ? or on to side of ridge beam ?
work so far
Cheers
