Yet again the tractor has sprung a leak, one of the steel hydraulic pipes has corroded at the point it meets a bulkhead connector, the pipe is quite long and typically runs through a maze a route arround the engine, gearbox etc. So my lack of excitement spending hours getting dirty and skinned knuckles go me thinking, would it be possible / practical to cut the steel pipe back to a suitable location fit a suitable compression fitting then fill the gap with a hose assembley? As long as everything is secured would this work ok?
