Steel flats in narrow sizes?

Hi guys, the smallest steel flats I can find to buy are 10mm x 3mm. I need some 6 x 2mm (a few lengths), any idea where I might be able to get some? I'm based in Hampshire if it matters.

I had some 25x1.5 the other day but I had to get a sheet guillotined. 3mm will be the thinnest you'll get off the shelf. Beyond that you'll need to get bits cut off a sheet. I'm no guillotining expert but I would have thought 6mm strips might be pushing your luck.....

you can guillotine down to 1mm, handy when your stuck for a bit of tig filler, but there will be a big time twist in the material.

Depends on the machine backstop... some wont go in to 6mm, There would be a bit of a twist, but wouldnt take much to untwist.
Might be able to get it in some form of bright, somewhere like Woodberry chilcott. (portsmouth)

Might need to go to imperial though, perhaps 1/8 x 1/4?

Hmm, thanks guys. An imperial equivalent would be fine - its not critical.

I'll be cutting the flat bar into strips about 3 or 4 inches long, and I need a few tens of them (hundreds?), so with a bit of countertwisting and its short length it'll be fine.

the way to do it then is to guillotine some strips at 4" wide, then cut them down to 6mm width, the twist will be minimal or nil at that length, and the accuracy will be better than trying to cut a long length on a guillotine, any sheet metal shop should be able to do it for you,

if your going to form the stuff in any way from sheet is the way to go.

Not if I can buy it in lengths and just cut it into smaller lengths.

Anyway, it seems I'm boned and I'll need to go from sheet as you say.
