What kind of guns
There's a powdercoating business near me & he uses a road compressor to supply his gritblaster. Can supply over 100 cfm all day long and can be picked up for a lot less than the equivalent electric powered compressor. Also you have the advantage of not having to rewire for 3 phase or a 63a single phase supply.
I'm keeping an eye out for a road compressor with a knackered engine. I plan to connect it to to our tractor via the pto shaft and use it to supply a sand blaster.
None in my town, nearest is 35 miles away with whom I'm quite friendly with, it's actually him that's giving me advice. Don't get me wrong I'm not jumping into this with both feet I've been doing bits and bobs so far and will continue to keep doing small bits and bobs like inlet manifolds and things like that for the long term before I even think of doing it commercially.
Just now is only a learning curve with a pretty decent teacher really.
Try signing up to some of the industrial auction sites, I use:Can't find any of them new or even second hand TBH, we don't seem to have much to choose from over here regarding Powder coat systems compared to the USA, anyone els got any info regarding a decent powder coat gun/set up?
id rather blast clean new metal then etch prime it and then 2k rather than -powdercoat at least it doesn't go rusty and travel underneath the coating and flake like powder coatingi was under the inpression that powder coat was looseing favor rapidly, as a lot of places dont blast stuff first and the coating then peels off about a year later
Been there done that got the Tshirt....made the mistake a costly one at that..Going into business with no knowledge of what you're doing seems a risky move. Would it not be better for you to try and gain employment at a powder coating place first and learn whilst earning, rather than leaping into unknown territory and hoping that you can both make money and actually do the job? Not meaning to come across as a pessimist, but it sounds like you're taking a huge leap of faith with this.

Actually no. Motor home and caravan repairs. Was it a T shirt printing business then?
I have been thinking about T shirts etc as I have all the tools because I set up a business for a chinese guy. Selling cutters and vinyl etc on ebay. I even started to get stock 500 plus shirts etc etc but I don't get concentration time and it's the sort of business you need to concentrate on.
I tried several methods to get orders from the customer to print and mind reading is hard. Lol
Yes this software was supposed to allow you to set up a store like that. They use screen prints . Vinyl.is tailored towards one of custom names etcHave you looked at Teezily for ideas?, I got Mrs Robo a hoodie she liked, the system is they don't do a print run (or charge customers) until they have a minimum amount.
