Update: Enrolled in a car and motorbike 4 day welding course. I can't afford the r-tech even with the discount code. New vs old.New won. Paton 160. Lots of extremely helpful advice and I've taken the view of Brokenbiker that whatever buy isn't for life. The Paton seemed to tick most boxes, is new, has a decent warranty and I got another 5% off when asked. So lets see how this process goes...
